Guest Review: 15 Seconds by Andrew Gross.

Today, I am really delighted to be able to host my very first Guest Reviewer. One of my lovely readers Florence has written her first review EVER! and I am the lucky blogger who gets to share it with you. So please welcome and show how friendly we all are to my guest reviewer Florence.

Description:

Henry Steadman is a successful Florida plastic surgeon on his way to deliver a keynote address at a conference when his world falls apart. Stopped by the police for a minor traffic violation, the situation escalates and he is pulled from his vehicle, handcuffed, and told he is under arrest. Several other police cars arrive and the questioning turns scary, but after it subsides, and Henry is about to move on, the officer is suddenly killed in his car and there is only one suspect: the very person he was about to arrest not ten minutes before. Henry! When a second friend turns up dead, Henry realizes he’s being elaborately framed. But in a chilling twist, the stakes grow even darker, and he is unable to go to the police to clear his name.

15 Seconds is a story of how even the best of lives can be destroyed in just an instant– and of an innocent man, framed for murder, who has to save the person he loves the most, and who cannot go the police to clear his name.

Florence’s Thoughts:

Dr Henry Steadman is a well regarded plastic surgeon living in Florida.   On his way to a conference to deliver a keynote speech he is pulled over by traffic police accused of speeding.  This minor violation escalates when the arresting officer is brutally killed causing Henry to run for his life.  His position grows increasingly worse and he realises he is being set up and has to figure out why.

His only way out of this situation is to find someone who believes his story, someone he can trust –  his attempts keep backfiring putting him under more pressure and further developments make it impossible for him to contact the police.

His face is on every newspaper, he is top news and he becomes a fugitive unable to trust anyone.

A truly gripping read, I really enjoy a good mystery and that is exactly what ‘15 Seconds’ is.  With little twists throughout the book it is definitely one of those ‘cant put down’ books.
